OPEX Features Explained:

A standardized approach to Operational Excellence.

OPEX provides an ISO 9001/45001 Compliant simplified workforce engagement tool to drive positive change for Safety, Quality and Continuous Improvement

"Everything is a feedback loop."

Main Features:

What is a Feedback Initiative?

It's a "Parent" problem to resolve. By using a standard structured feedback process to investigate an Incident, Idea, Observation or Deviation.

An Initiative will often be a dynamic engagement between many team members to solve a problem and reach a conlusion.

The types of initiatives are limit-less. Here's some examples:

Initiatives - Core Components

  • Assets: Uniquely define machines and sub-components to eliminate confusion.
  • Defined Progress Steps: Open, In Progress, Closed.
  • Contextual Media: Upload documents and images relevant to the Initiative.
  • Allocated To: Defines Initiative owner.
  • Feedback Items/Actions: The "baby steps" or actions taken to complete the parent initiative.
  • Templates: Apply structured methodologies like DMAIC or 8D or your own custom process steps.
  • Due Date: Target completion date.
  • Supervisor Sign Off: A 'Designated Closer' can be defined that ensures initiatives are reviewed before being archived as complete.
  • Data Integrity: Soft Delete and data retention means no data is ever lost by accident nor maliciously, complying with ISO standards.

Feedback Item/Action-Level Features
(the baby steps taken to complete an Initiative)

  • Responsibility: Allocate who owns each step.
  • Contextual Media: Upload documents and images relevant to the task.
  • Completion Tracking: Checkbox items to visualize completion.
  • Due Dates: Clear deadlines to set completion expectations.

Management & Visibility

  • Kanban Board: Allows supervisors to effortlessly visualize and reorder priorities.
  • Transparency: A chronological history of every change made, providing total integrity and ISO 9001/45001 compliance.
  • User Database: Mirrors organizational structure and chains of command.
  • Granular Permissions: Near-infinite control over who sees what. Includes "Drop Box" access for reporting without viewing sensitive follow-ups.

Unlimited Potential

  • Asset Library: A logical repository for all documentation, part numbers, and asset knowledge.
  • Custom Subjects: Beyond Safety and Quality, create loops for Order Tracking, PPE Requests, or Logistics.
  • Work Instructions: Using the same Initiative structure and templates, Work Instruction Library can be built providing contextual access through one standard interface.
  • Visual Workflow: Use colors to define departmental responsibilities (e.g., Operators complete Blue fields, Maintenance completes Green).
